Burstner i800

I’m a newbie
Desperately needing help. We recently purchased a Burstner Elegance i800 2013 plate. We are currently on route to Spain and in an Aire, somewhere South of the Millau Viaduct on the A75. The Oil pressure warning showed it needed topping up. We have oil on board. Armed with the handbook which shows diagrams for the dip stick and oil filler cap we have searched and searched and can’t find them. The A class is so compact under the bonnet. Everywhere is shut in France for the next 3 days so stuck ?? Merry Christmas everyone x

the big cap at the top of the big metal lump under the bonnet/letterbox. Here's a hint, often labelled OIL or if you are blonde it could be 710

I have same van. I800 2014.
It's in there somewhere but as you say hard to access, I had light come on back in September while in Germany. Pulled into a service station to buy oil. Think I spilt 30% trying to get it in the filler hole.

From memory it's on the front left of the engine as you look from the front. Will have the oil can symbol on it.

If you're struggling to get the oil in without spilling it try this:
Home made funnel.

It is the only screw on cap protruding through the black plastic engine cover, just behind the dipstick.

This is on my X290, the X250 is similar.

Did the warning light come on and stay on, or just the once? The oil level gauge on the dash on our van has beeped a warning to us a couple of times, but only when I started the engine while we were parked on a front down and/or a sideways slope.
I think the electronic gauge is easily fooled! Oil level on the dipstick was fine.

The photo I showed is of the vehicle described a i800 2013. It could of course be different from the OP. It could be a vehicle with the same designation of i800. If so, apologies to the OP.
The handbook does not offer any clue as to where to put oil, at least after going quickly through hundreds of pages.

If it is an oil pressure warning light then you are leaving it too late to top up . If its a oil level warning light . Dont trust it use the dip stick . HTSH

OP has made the single post and disappeared. ..... hopefully having sorted the oil level... :xThumb:

Is there not a funnel supplied.
Sometimes they are hooked on the inner wing.

There was one with my Vivaro ?

The Burstner Elegance i800 2013 is on a Fiat base the photo you posted is not a Fiat.

Hi your vehicle hand book should show you where the oil filler is located.

OMG... Caught out again... usually check before pressing send....
2019 thread....Silly me..

So you join a forum just to insult someone..... but not bright enough to realise it's a three year old thread, and that the OP hasn't returned since then.
