SUNLIGHT
Hi, we are Australians who recently purchased a new Motorhome (SUNLIGHT T69S) in March 2022. We flew over and picked up 'LIZZY' our motorhome on 1 March and travelled through England and Wales for 2 months to test her out. She is currently in storage and we will be flying over again in July and taking her to the Alps for 3 months then returning home to OZ after putting her in storage in the UK again.
We need to travel over every March for her habitation check, rego etc. and to make sure she is not in storage for too long. Obviously March/April is not the best time of year for the northern hemisphere but it is what we need to do. Has anyone travelled to Europe during that time (preferably without needing winter tyres as we only have all weather tyres) and can recommend places/countries to visit.
We don't mind the cold, but would like to avoid below freezing temperatures as we don't know how the motorhome would handle those conditions (she is German built though).

We used to go to Benidorm at the beginning of April, drove straight through France and over the pyrenees no problem 👍

Drive to Dover - Calais and just slowly make your way South Via Rouen towards Bordeaux and into Spain. Take your time and stop at one of the many Aires de service that France has to offer and enjoy each location for a day or so. Spain also has Aires but not so many. Benidorm is good but there are plenty of lovely warm places there to enjoy.

The Spanish Costas are generally a good option, linked to a hop over to Morocco...lots to see and do...are you seeing or doing people...that would make your choices easier..The Camperstop situation in Spain is ever increasing, both private and public....an ACSI card gets you low cost prices on what are normally expensive campsites...Easter is generally crowded and noisy in Spain, but great fun too...we have lived in Spain mainly for the climate for over 20 years...nice people, great food and wine too..

Oops, forgot about Easter. Will definitely have to plan around that- we don't like crowds so will have to pick less popular places for that period.

Statistically the warmest part of mainland Europe in March/April/May is SE Spain.

We always have a trip in either Feb & March or March & April.
Weather normally good from mid France down through Spain and Portugal. This year in April Spain was colder & Wetter than Spain but that is very unusual.
