In our Bailey 620 (2102) we have the notorious inaccurate sensors for both fresh and waste water.
I would like to see if I can descale them but although putting my arm in the empty tank and having a good feel round, all I can feel is the bung at the bottom of the tanks. Where should I be able to feel the sensors?

Suppose it depends on the type of sensor but the multiple probe type will be in the top of the tank hanging down.
Waste of time cleaning them, they soon get gunged up again.

Manufacturers only put them in to annoy people. They are extremely inaccurate even on those rare occasions they work at all.

Did not bother to fit any in my tanks when I did the conversion but the ones I looked at were three studs fixed to the tank wall, apparently these gave the 25,50 and 75% readings.

After a while you get used to how much water you generally use.
I’ve drained down the water system in our van for the winter, went for a drive over Christmas and the water sensor decided to tell us after about 10 miles that the tank was empty so it doesn’t work that well.
But we did find out last summer that the grey tank has sensors on it, came to the conclusion that the grey tank holds about double the the fresh so that was nice to know.

Have you tried resetting the sensors? Instructions are in the attached file.

Hi, I have had similar problems with my 66 reg Advance 640, as do many vans.
Having thought the tank was drained by using the pump, as indicated by fresh water tank sensor for start of winter, i decided just to check in tank.
There was still about 5" of water in tank!.
First thing I wanted was to get tank drained. Opened drain valve and no water flowed out. Stuck hand in tank to bung outlet to find the outlet had never been drilled out, although the plumbing was all in place. Purged pumped the tank empty, drilled out and all was fine. (worth checking as apparently Bailey can be bad for this, that came from a Bailey Tech)
When in the tank, checked the sensor. It was the same as 1 in my last Autograph Approach 750. A long 6" ceramic type 10mm rod suspended from top of tank. Easily removed. You can clean/replace (about £30) them and recalibrate them but with the Whale seattle control panel on this van I couldnt figure it out.
Everyone says its not worth doing as they fur up again. Being in Scotland the water is softer and not so much lime in so for me it is worth doing. Lunarmans above attachment doesnt apply for me as it is a different control panel but if it applys to your CP worth doing.
Other than that sorry cant help any more.
