Keep seeing new models emailed or posted on my Facebook pages of ones that are being launched at the Dusseldorf Show so thought it might help some to share these so will post them as we spot them but please feel free to add any you spot too. Some of these may not be available if buying in UK though.
Have already added about new Globecar/Possl models the Summit Prime 540, 600 & 640 & special edition Trenta https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...prime-trenta-2020-models.203721/#post-3474607

Florium with pop top too so even on coachbuilt motorhomes as an extra sleeping area!

Kind of defeats the point of a well insulated box?
It would be fine when not in use but presume it's aimed at those who might have occasional extra visitors like grandchildren? Can see that might suit some.

Any pics of the new Chausson 711? I’d like to see a better view of the new cab colour, Campovolo Silver it’s called.
The ones in the videos are a bit sketchy or quick to say the least.

I like the idea that some of these converters appear to be thinking "out of the box". Not quite sure how practical it would be though. Looks like the Hymer loses internal space for some sort of staircase. That Westfalia rear slide out may well make it very difficult to carry a bike on the back of the van. With the pop tops how much head height is lost inside the van if you don't put it up on that wet and cold day, and is the fabric going to be anywhere near as good (durable, insulating, etc) as the main vehicle fabric - It may work for a campervan, but in a motorhome, even though it's a PVC?

New Rapido Van V62 - no passenger seats but a lot packed in a van including a fixed bed

Is it really a sleeping area?

Things are going full circle - drop to low-profile, do away with overcab bed .....

..... and then add a pop-top to replace it.

OK may keep it under 3500kg, but that restriction is ruining designs and/or payload.

We wouldn't choose to sleep in a pop top but it's probably preferable to a tent as add on accommodation for those that need that. Guess manufacturers need to add or change something each year to get publicity for their brands & they aren't necessarily improvements!

Is it just me, or is that Westfalia with the odd growth on the roof really ugly???
There are quite a few makes & models like that which have been around for a while so they must sell. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so someone will love it maybe not for its looks but the interior space it gives.

That's very true - thankfully!

I think the better brands with good designs and good quality production do not have to do that as they can rely on reputation and the long-lasting designs for sales.

Many upmarket models have not changed much, at least externally, for years.

I am referring mainly to 'A' Class, because they control the whole external look, whereas 'C' Class converters are in the hands of the base vehicle manufacturers for the front-end look and shape to which they have to match the bodywork.

500Kg payload for 6 people. Going to be a few driving round overloaded

Be interesting to see if the weight quoted includes all the FACTORY FITTED Extras like Air Conditioning and Cruise Control or wether they just went for how much can we get away with.

New Knaus Boxstar Lifetime 600XL - another with the "ugly" roof:

What, no Varios?
Fear not Simon we haven’t got to the show yet?

There will also be the new Morelo Loft and a couple of new things at Concorde including a Centurion on the Daily chassis.

I will report anything interesting on the Dusseldorf show thread ably assisted by Lenny HB TheAleMan and others.
