its a standard "house spider"!

Common house spiders. Most common house spiders pose little threat to humans. While they may bite if they feel threatened, most bites are typically either harmless or cause only minor irritation.

it ended up down the back of my shirt last night. Let it go and it rebuilt its web
They're pretty determined. I had one in the wheelarch of a caravan (could have been the car) that travelled to France with us. It re-spun its web (onto the wheel) each time we stopped and returned home with us.

Aren’t spiders just bxxxxy amazing! They always make a web from my van wing mirror to the door and I don’t drive fast enough to blow it away. I believe that a web is one of the strongest things in nature, pound for pound.

A Bit
never had any issue with spiders have always found that if you need to catch one then if you catch it in your hands give about 2 minutes as when you open your hands it will be much calmer and easy to handle when you release it. Apparently its something to do with it reacting to the temperature change it senses from your body heat when you first catch it, give it chance to acclimatise and it will be fine.

I kill on sight now, after seeing my neighbours arm balloon up after a bite.

Don't think I've ever knowingly killed a spider. Can't think of a single valid reason to do so either. Awesome creatures.

I can't go to sleep at night if there is one in my motorhome. :(

From whence they return. They aren't called "House Spiders" without reason :) .
Yes they do come back but not found a way to see if they are the same ones??

Easy way to catch em is get a large glass and a post card put glass over spider and slide post card under glass pick it up and take outside as far away as you can and release it.?
