Bio liquid is for the Nose Blind or those who are so old they stink of wee anyway (y)

We use bio liquid ... just add extra as the cassette fills up. There will be lots of people adding their views to this topic as it has come up many times before. There doesn't appear to be a definitive answer but it will depend on where you will be emptying the cassette - you must be very careful what products you use if there is a chance you will be emptying your waste into a septic tank.

I find the bio liquid ok in cooler temperatures, but as soon as it warms up over 25c I switch to the blue stuff.
Never suffer smells that way, but would if I stuck to just the bio.
Don`t have a sog because the Mrs is too lazy to close the flap while were parked up
What do you use @Chris51 ?

Only poo & wee in ours, smells lovely, well we do have a SOG. :D
Just read the SOG advertising blurb this afternoon as a mate is thinking about installing it !
What a load of nonsense they spout about oxygenation of the effluent ;)
We have the Thetford A.G.E ( Arse Gas Extraction )

This works for me...

If it wasn’t for me we wouldn’t need any blue stuff as Sue seems to think her poo smells like rainbows, flowery unicorns and Woolworths pick and mix. I think her nose needs a decoke.

I use these, they don’t seem to smell quite so chemical as the liquid, and are a LOT easier than mixing the concentrate etc etc. I keep them in the bathroom, and drop one down the pan after I empty the cassette (I lave a bit of water in when I rinse). Tried bio liquid, but it didn’t really work for us. It was fine when stationary, but I noticed a pong of stale
wee while driving (the loo is right behind the drivers seat) which didn’t enhance my holiday much.

I’ve never seen anyone else use the bags, but they really are so much less faff.

I found the best thing was the cheapest Sainsbury’s own brand bio washing powder. I used a cooking measuring cup ( the sort you get with 4 or 5 together) and used the one cup measure. All you could smell on emptying the cassette was a laundry smell.

Been using Aldi's bio powder for years, and also empty every day.

Always bio, like lidl formil. Need to ensure the blue is never used though as even a trace will stop the bio working.

There is such a thing as 'green' toilet chemical which does not damage biological sewage treatment systems as an alternative to the blue.

Agree; we just use the blue now.

must have been a sh!t answer then ;)

It was a log of my experiences rather than a pebble dashed perspective.

Another vote for cheapo bio washing powder, one cup full and it is great

I'm in my mid 70's so like things as easy as possible. I always use Thetford Aqua Kem sachets. Just chuck them into the cassette and they dissolve in seconds with about a litre and a half of water.
Campsite friendly and my wife and I don't dislike the smell, it's not too chemically strong.

Yes, Elsan Green should be safe with septic tanks. And whilst we’re on another toilet thread, I saw a YouTuber today recommending ‘RainX’ for use on the toilet bowl to ensure a smooth and swift exit of any contributions. Good for your windscreen and your ablutions, allegedly!

I always use the cheapest bio washing liquid, in fact I have quite a large nutty twister sitting in the old Dutch dirt box as I speak. it's been there for about a week, quietly fermenting... not a whiff, not a pong, nothing.

Would recommend to a friend!
