What plates do you use?

I love mine (and my critical children like them too)

We got the IKEA glass plates probably as eco friendly as the bamboo!! (and cheap and good!)

The cheap ikea glass plates just like correle are excellent and near indestructible

We've got melamine I think, they're lightweight hard plastic. But we've got some thin white glass ones we can use in the grill. All the Chinese shops in Benidorm sell them (y)

Have you tried them in a microwave.

Enamel plates and bowls. Brilliant as they don’t rattle and don’t mark even when using a knife. Can also be warmed up so your fish and chips don’t get cold. Met a guy who had Corelli ones and he was still finding bits of glass after he broke one. The melamine ones we used to have scratched easily. Cannot be used in a microwave but as we don’t have one it’s not a problem.

I have Corelli but my Grandson was looking for when he gets his camper van, or pvc. Window shopping, bless him. So just wondered if anyone had any comments. Thank you all.

We use real Corelle and the Ikea copies and like both of them, but I’m not really sure why people seem to think they are almost unbreakable? We have broken a few with no trouble at all, sometimes by them moving in the van during driving and sometimes simply by dropping them on the carpet!

Brenda has poor grip strength and coordination since her strokes. She has dropped several of the ikea plates and all bar one were totally unharmed. The one that did break was a falling knife that hit it

I don’t have those bamboo plates, but I do have two other kinds. I love them. Much nicer ‘feel’ than plastic, wearing better and fine in the microwave and dishwasher. One of my cups has marked where I left it overnight in water, but otherwise great. Unbroken so far. A bit rattley, but not as bad as either plastic or china.

I these ones

Tesco value (remember that) set 4 dinner plates, 4 tea plates and four dishes.Cheap thin and light weight. 7 years on and not a single chip (I should say that should I).
After every trip they out of the MH and enjoy a trip through the dish washer.

China everything and proper glass wine and whisky glasses - I don't break crockery or glasses at home so why make do when away? As @Janine , paper plates between reduce rattles and jiggling, (although I must admit I don't mind a bit of jiggling now and again).

I bought a set for us and then when the children saw them I had to buy another two sets for them. I picked them up in Aldi a couple of weeks ago.

Very pleased with our bamboo plates, very light and surprisingly tough. No rattles.

Emma Bridgewater melamine because my lump sum was burning a hole in my pocket and I wanted a coordinated look in such a small space!
Online retailer fabric spacers to stop rattles.
