What make and model is this?
I need some replacement hinges or a complete new oven, its unusual in that this oven door goes up.
Has anyone had any success in repairing /replacing the hinges?

Yes I have replaced hinges. Its an oven out job.
Which means pulling fridge freezer partially out as well, nearly fully out.

Luckily I got dometic engineer to look at oven door at dusseldorf show and they posted me a set foc!
Not sure if I can find old ones to get part number.

Edit, our oven was mounted on top of freezer, you seem to have shelf between them so looks a bit different, maybe you can leave fridge freezer in place?

All TecTower doors open upwards and all the hinges fail on them.
Mine is the latest model the hinges failed after a couple of months, just had them replaced.
Dometic say you have to remove the tower to replace them but most models can be done without removing.

Our hinges had to be replaced on our techtower oven (hate them!!) as they had seized up. We went to Caravanas Lorca who did a great job although we were there for 4 hours waiting. We now have a 'proper' oven in our current van.

Were they like these and where did you get them from - Leisure spares have not been much help. They are insisting that they want the model number from the data plate, which means removing the oven. I don't want to remove it until I can replace the hinges!

Do remember the Dometic model number? This a 2012 model Burstner van and the hinges are also part of the stainless strip holding the inner glass panel

I dont know if yours is identical, our oven was screwed directly onto top of the freezer. From memory 3 self tappers each sidefrom above.

Theres a part number in one of those posts

Mine is a RMDT 8505 different to your and it was a warranty job done by my dealer in Belgium so not much help to you.

Normally a bar code sticker on the instruction manual with model number, product, code & serial number. Also should be a label on the back of the fridge you should be able to see via the grills.

Pretty well sussed it.
I kept undoing screws until I could lift the door off. Now I can see the type of hinges and they can be fitted without removing the complete oven. They are available from Leisure Spares - but an eye watering £68.77 for the pair. Who said motorhomeing was cheap?

Thats it fixed - Perfect now. Thats 3 jobs this year I thought would be nightmare and turned out to be pretty straight forward.
I think the major fault with these hinges is that are put together dry a - spot of high temp grease on the pivots would double their life. My are now well coated.

Leisure Spares have been superb especially considering how difficult it was to determine the type of hinges I had fitted.
I ordered them yesterday and they arrived today, what a fantastic service -

Having seen mine up close, it's no surprise. They are horrid things, designed for the bearings to overload.
