Hi im Jon, age 55 and brand new to MH. I have a 2008 burster solano.Does anyone know what these sockets are for adacent to 240v socket, guess its something for on the continent. Thanks in advance.

Looks like standard 12v cigar socket

I think it will be a Hella socket, the German equivalent of a 12v cigar socket. You can buy adaptors so that the standard cigar plug will fit in.
The image isnt clear enough to be certain.
Which Solano do you have? , we have the t725.

Edit... Just opened the image properly, (doh!!) and it is a Hella

I have a Burstner, it is a hella socket, you can plugs to fit, in my opinion better than cigarette type sockets. Much more positive conection.

Definitely a Hella socket as mentioned above, downside is that you'd need to use an adaptor all the time if you have standard 12v ciggy type plugs, change all your plugs to Hella type or change the socket to a 12v ciggy one. Hella ones are far superior to the 12v ciggy ones but obviously not so common when you come to buy 12v stuff for your MH as most are the 12v ciggy ones.
