I've sorted out how to get hot water and it's nothing to do with the switch, plus pump on main panel. It's a mystery. Ray thinks it may be a switch to stop the water going through the water heater or something

I'm feeling that BECAUSE it is by the door, it must be something you need either immediately you are about to enter the van or about to leave it......?

Do you have an electric step?

Does it stop the door automatically locking when you leave?

Yes we have an automatic step. The diagram looks like water going into a job lol. When switched on nothing changes at all anywhere

Do you have a pump plug by the water filler to pump water in to the van from a hog.... there’s a word for it but can’t remember....
Could be the on/off for that..?

When you turn the control panel on can you isolate the taps, if not it might be away to cut the power to the pump. When we had our Campscout if the control panel was on the taps were 'live' so if we left them in the open position over winter so they didn't freeze and inadvertently put the panel on we ran the risk of burning out the pump.

Is it a bypass to run the water pump if your tap switch has failed? Obviously only on microswitch operated system, not pressurising one.

open the sink tap and press the switch.

Could it be a waste water heater?? To prevent freezing in winter??

Is there any connection to the back of the switch? If so where are the wires headed? Turn on the switch whilst monitoring battery current. Does anything draw current when the switch is turned on & if so how much? Does it light up when turned on?

As an Auto trail it will have manual waste and cold weather dump, external shower controlled by shower head, tank heater control through Sargent control panel no microswitch on taps as Sureflo pump fitted. Definitely an after market switch controlling an aftermarket accessory, possibly.

could it be a switch for the cooling fans for the fridge? I have installed similar switch in similar place to activate the cooling fans located inside the fridge vents.

Do you have a water filter, I had to put one in to turn the pump on when drawing water from the filter tap ??

We have a switch on our Autoquest. near the shower/toilet that isolates shower when using the sink/toilet. Apparently previous owner used to get showered regularly!!!
