What is this pot for? (1 Viewer)

I saw this saucepan/cooking pot in a charity shop and thought "that looks useful, I'll have that for the motorhome we hope to be buying soon" (after a break of 2 years, how exciting! and all the fun of buying bits for it
Its small and light, not an expensive item, and I'm intrigued by the deep lid with handles.
So apart from being useful does anyone know if it has a specific purpose?

Make a good moules pot. Cook them in the bottom pot, top pot for empty shells.

Yep - We've got one but it doesn't get used much because I hate mussels.

Well, that's why I couldn't identify it, don't eat moules Glad the mystery is solved.

It will still be useful or if not, be recycled again.

Well, we’ve had moules at least twice a week for the last month, half in restaurants and half “chez nous”.
