Nearly aint got one.
Exp
Caravan & motorhome 45 + yrs
As in the title.....

In over 40 years home and abroad never had to use one or needed one....

And have always had one except the last few years, where we have bought brand new, and should anything of happened the supplying dealer would have gotten an ear full..:giggler:

.. But...

Now I would struggle to change a wheel.... so biting the bullet and going with the best recommended.. :thanks3:

I use Rac through c&cc , called arrival scheme. I used them in this country & France , can't fault them.

If not using Nationwide flex plus account, these guys score well. I used them for a few years and had to call them whilst on holiday in France - no problems at all

Had to use RAC a couple of times.... Recovered home from town no problem.
1st time.... Burst radiator on Camry V6
2nd time was injector pump belt on a Volvo V70.
Mechanic checked timing belt but didn't know the pump had its own belt driven from the opposite end of the camshart.
Due to extreme price increase I'm now with Green Flag, not had to use them yet.

I think it's a lottery which one will be OK and I'd hate to recommend any. It's an insurance policy you hope you don't need. There are many horror stories. Only a couple of months ago my lone 89 year old mother was left stranded when her small car clutch failed somewhere on the A35 by the RAC who took over 4 hours to eventually arrive, despite her telling them she was on her own, elderly, cold, vulnerable. Even the passing police patrol who found her a couple of hours later were appalled.

Have to say in the past the breakdown/recovery provided through AIB was very good. Sadly couldn't continue insurance with AIB due an offer from L&V they couldn't/wouldn't match.

Now <8.0m intend to use Nationwide provided recovery when fiat camper cover runs out.

I use Green Flag.

They were great when I had a problem with the car in France a few years back

I use Rac have been with them 20 years and my parents probably 50yrs.

They have been excellent despite the awful cars they and we have occasionally (ok often!) had!

Cheers James
