What is in your Salad

:Eek!:Oh No. I live off those bags of salad or lettuce leaves ..... feel physically sick... I have only just got over the live frog found in one some years ago.....

Just how do they wash veg before they put it in bags ...does anybody know? Is no-one watching for foreign bodies.

Customs .... "Border Control" are supposed to be...:Rofl1:

Our son (Cheyne - Upmarkethippy), two or three years ago, was eating gherkins - normally eaten whole, but one was a little on the large side and he bit a piece off and found maggots (well and truly pickled) inside.

We now make sure we bite every one in half and look inside before swallowing.

My Dad had a herd of pigs and he would get out of date food, bread cakes pies etc delivered as feed. It was pre sell by dates and most of the stuff was OK to eat, me and my mates would dig in. I particularly remember biting hungrily into a sausage roll and the whole centre, where there used to be sausage, was full of maggots :Eeek: :Rofl1:

Yuk.

The only safe way is not to eat salad ( or pig food)

strange food

I was once served a salad on a flight to Malta which was moving around the container on its own:Eeek::Eeek: upon investigation there was a very large cockroach under the lettuce ::Eek!:::Eeek: if my mrs had seen it she would have had the plane in an uproar :Laughing:when I discreetly called the maltese steward over to show him he nearly fainted

There was a programe on telly a bit back, the bags of lettuce etc are washed in a chemical solution to keep them fresh, and its not always as clean as it should be, hence I can never buy salad in a bag now, think I would rather have a slug on the leaf I can wash off.
