i`m looking at what insurances i will need when travelling in europe.
is it best to get annual cover as ill probably be going at least twice in the year.
would i also be best getting one that covers breakdown and travel or is it best practice to get individual policy`s.
its a bit of a mine field.
iv had a breakdown cover quote from CBC for £94

You'll need comprehensive European insurance cover for the van (might be included or not with your UK policy). You need breakdown cover (check exclusions carefully for age/length/height/weight limits). This can sometimes be added to your main policy, or bought as a separate one. I suspect adding to a road policy is generally cheaper (especially bought at the same time, not added later), but would expect better service from a specialist insurer. I've had to claim on RAC Arrival once and the service was excellent.

Annual policies are often cheaper even for a single trip, let alone multiple.

You also need GHIC cards and travel insurance.

As our van is insured with aib insurance we get full European breakdown cover. Personal cover will depend on age and length of stay I think when we looked annual multi trip had a limit on how long you can stay. We wanted 90 days but we do find aviva the most competitive

If you look in the 'Insurance' forum you'll find a lot of opinions regarding providers of vehicle and health breakdown cover.
It's here:

I use Nationwide for breakdown and health insurance.......(there are max dims for motorhomes).

LV premier multi trip travel insurance allows 90 days per trip, no limit on the number of trips per year and is quite competitive, it is also one of the few that will cover you riding a motorcycle over 125 cc provided appropriate clothing and a helmet is worn and you have a license for a motorcycle.

are there dedicated travel insurances for travelling in a camper van or is that irrelevant with travel insurance.

Travel insurance is the same in the camper van as any other travelling - at least I've never found any which doesn't include baggage and delays!

just started checking my quotes and the same breakdown cover with the same add on are ranging from £50.00 to £95 but the vehicle cover is also a fluctuation Adrián Flux tried the 'fear factor' mode of selling when asked to send details I was told it may go up tomorrow.... I wont be calling them back Comfort is no longer the cheapest and so far LV looks like they will be getting my business

Often if you link them you get additional discounts LV said no as it was their specialist motor department but so far are coming in £60 cheaper shopping around is a must these days
