Getting my inverter fitted to the van and I’ve been asked to order a 60Amp fuse but I’ve forgot what type the guy recommended, any advice on what one to go for.
If it’s for the inverter feed from batteries then a maxi fuse in a holder will do fine. Remember to locate the fuse as near as possible to the source, that would be the batteries.
I'd go for a Midi fuseholder and fuse. It has studs, so the wires will need lugs crimping on them. The lugs are specified by two numbers, the wire area size, and the stud hole size. For example size 10-5 goes on 10mm2 cable, and fits a 5mm stud.
Midi link fuses used for protecting larger current circuits in automotive, marine and leisure applications. Available in current ratings from 30A to 150A.
Copper tube terminals (also known as eyelet terminals or battery eyelets) for high current, primary battery/power connections. Can be crimped or soldered.
