V5 Document, (original).
Insurance Certificate
Driving Licence.
Two Warning triangles.
Fluorescent jacket for each occupant of vehicle.
Spare pair of glasses if you wear them

British motorists driving outside the UK must now remove old-style GB stickers or cover them up. Instead they should display a UK sticker or have the UK identifier on their number plate.

how do i sort that?
you don’t need it unless going to certain large cities or areas in France as I understand, more areas have been added since I got mine but for the sake of a few quid maybe just get it

Google on line “Crit-Air Certificate”.

it will take you to the relevant web site. You will need to scan and upload a copy of your V5 to show emission levels. It may be necessary to reduce the pixel count, (file size) of your copy to be upload it.

From memory it costs about €4 or €5 and lasts for the life of your vehicle. Allow at least a week for delivery.

You only need it for certain low emission areas but, as they are increasing all the time and it costs little, it is worth getting. You never know if you may get diverted from your planned route.

What does one do with the box requiring CO2/gm/km when it is not on a registration certificate? It won't accept alpha reply.

I do not know why they want this figure when one has already entered Euro 3 above.

Does anyone know the approx. answer for a 2.8Jtd (2003) ?

We just left it blank.

The authorities are interested to see year of registration and/or Euro category which are shown on the V5 that you upload.

We have now registered three vehicles for Crit Aire using the above with no problem.

Thanks a lot for very quick answer- I thought the form would be rejected if no figure inserted.

Breathalyzer, Hi vis jacket that has to be accessible from inside the cab (put on before getting out). Headlight adjusters or stickers

My insurance company (LV) have assured me that you no longer are required to have a Green Card.

Is this what other members understand is the situation?

IRHP states you need a breathalyser - I do not think that this is correct?

Breathalyzer,
Hasn't been a legal requirement for several years. In fact the requirement was removed very soon after it came out.

It's quite unnecessary to populate the thread with random suggestions as it's all in the link I posted previously.......

seams I'm a bit out of touch. You needed one last time I drove through France and it wasn't that long ago. Certainly not the 70s,

Really? I believe after a bit of googling it was scrapped in Jan 2020 but I will try to keep up to date on these matters :giggle: . I haven't had any need to for the past 2 years.

There is a green card attached to my current Comfort insurance document.

I applied for mine this morning after being reminded on here (Thankyou everyone!) and after looking up on the provided website, what Crit Air I needed, was slightly worried because no Campervan/motorhome was shown, so, as I'm -3.5 tonnes, I just put it under 'light commercial' filled in other spaces and provided photo of V5, paid and hay presto! my application was accepted. Haven't needed a Green car since August last year.
The Breatherliser law was repealed last year although previously you were required to carry one there was no penalty if you didn't have one.

crit- air certificate
Only if your going into big city.
sorry late with that.
I hope you don’t need one everywhere because we couldn’t go in that case (only joking)

That was not the way I understood it. I thought that, when it was in-force, it was a regional thing and IF the local Mairie wanted to impose it, it could, was I wrong??

I’m not sure we’ve needed a green card since the late 70s. There was talk of it becoming a requirement again but this never happened.

May need one of these soon. I think they are soon to be law in Spain. Though I cannot see Pedro, the 70 year old farmer having one in his old Citroen C15D (or any of the aforementioned for that matter).

The V16 emergency light may be a sensible option for metal cars but how on earth will the be used on a MH? Firstly, nothing on the outside is magnetic and secondly how will it be any use 3meter up on the roof? It may be useful if they came with a suction pad and if we carried 2 for the back and side???? Not a requirement until 2025 if I have read the attached above correctly. Of interest, the report seems to suggest that at some future date they will have to incorporate some electronics that transmit your location!!!!!!!

You needed one after Brexit until last August.
