I've upgraded to a newer motorhome thanks to being wooed at Peterborough. On the awning side the previous owner has fitted a popper near the front of the coach part side skirt and then simple screws into the plastic further back with white plastic screw cups & caps.

My original thoughts were they were fitted to allow a draft skirt to be attached but the screw covers are too big for a skirt popper.

Any ideas or advise please?

Cheers,

Hadrian

I think you are right with your thoughts Hadrian, but he may have had a strange make of skirt! Do you have any contact details for the previous owner, perhaps on docs etc or the V5, you could drop him a line and ask him. He may even still have it, and sell it to you if he kept it at trade in.

Looking at the wheel arch those are the screws that hold it on
The other press stud could be for a draft skirt but those on the wheel arch are definitely not they can be used to get access to the wheel if you get a serious tyre problem

Sorry, I should have said the opposite side of the vehicle is unblemished with no screws

The plastic trim on the rear of our Bailey was starting to come loose and the dealer went round with a series of plastic coated/covered screws, maybe something similar?

since 2014!
It may sound odd, but have you tried to take off one of the white screw covers? Would the skirt popper fit where the cover was?

Just a thought!

Try flipping the screw covers off do they reveal a stud underneath?

7 years campers before that
i would suspect the original poppers have been removed and replaced with white caps they may have gotten damaged or corroded
