Well, going to EU next week for first time since BC. Thing is I have two bags of Campsite books, maps etc that weigh a ton each. Not really used them too much over the last few years, just end up somewhere and get a camp site or stellplaatz from the sat nav.

All this must end! I'm not taking the books and although I have a few apps, just wondering what apps others use.

Been on this trip 5 weeks so far on used search for sites nth Spain down through Portugal and back around the costas to nth Spain again up through France next week

Park 4 the night, without question.

Back from 6 weeks in Europe recently and where ever we stayed we spoke to locals and to understand the local area etc and most campers recommended Park 4 the Night as the app they use.

Got it

Searchforsites site is what we use 90% of time. Aires, sites, french passion, drop, and refill all shown and can be used as link to Google maps, so satellite and directions if required.

We use search for sites app, just spent 3 months in Spain and Portugal and England and it has been a godsend. Spot on every time. 👍

Park4Night is all you need but buy the full version 10€
It let's you select the place's you prefer and availablity of water /toilet empty and the star rating

Park4night but the free one, not being penny pinching but we always find it the best, tried the paid one for a couple of years and just find it overloaded with stuff you don't need.

Park4Night is ok but it contains a LOT of spots that are suitable only for small vans.

Personally, I prefer Search for Sites.

Britain is search for sites. Continental Europe camper contact. Park for night sometimes.

Another vote for Park4night in europe but searchforsites if in UK

Looks like it's down to 2 or 3 then (and the sat nav).

One more question. Has the EU camping scene filled up due to covid the way the UK has?

Does this look like eu/ Norway is full. P4n room for about 20 . Only us here

I've found park4night pretty handy.

Also the ACSI app

But haven't really got on so well with camper contact, even though I paid £1-something for a month's subscription (which I thought was a good idea). :giggle:

A lot of the Park4Night sites near us are quite poor ones. Hence the reason I did not use it.
I read the reviews as well. Yes some are not really appropriate. Reading the reviews and looking at photos help. But I guess nothing is perfect and we win some and lose some. Generally though the places I have stopped at camp sites, rd side/ carparks etc. Have been ok. If I don't like I move on.

This is one they list
