It’s not looking good for the foreseeable
So, going to go to my nieces villa in Fuerteventura with my sister in 2 weeks for a week….

Beautiful in Sussex today went for a bike ride then out in the garden until 7:30 lapping up the sunshine, turned off the heating and had salad with dinner.

Don't worry, its no better here in the south of france. The only difference is that we need it, unlike most of france we have been short of rain, anyway i have managed to fill our 8000lt water storage and a 7500lt intex pool (sorry that should say, our additional 7500lt water storage facility) as technically we are not supposed to fill pools, but it is all rainwater and we keep the chemicals to a minimum and use it on the garden when our other tanks get low.

We’ve been back from Spain a week, it would have been miserable if it hadn’t been for a wonderful weekend with our daughter visiting. Somehow we don’t seem to notice the weather then and she stayed until Monday evening so a bonus.

Spring has not sprung.

I feel your pain on our son's behalf who lives in Truro. Since it stopped raining constantly here (relatively speaking!) we have had beautiful but very chilly days and cold nights interspersed with thunderstorms. Knocked out several RCDs over the weekend! Most of the blossom survived but our neighbour's vines have been nipped. We are thinking of popping over to the Medoc tomorrow for a few days but now being promised another big storm that is presently in the Cevenne. Decisions, decisions. A little bit inland perhaps; but not too far.
