Yep, I know it’s a very personal thing but I need to know.......roughly what length of hose for fresh water should I get ?
And no opportunity for innuendo here, what length EHU cable should I buy?
All comments welcome.......probably !

Personally (and it is a personal question after all!) 15-metre hose, a varied collection of tap connectors -- and a funnel and collapsible water container for when all else fails.

As for EHU cable, we take two (10m and 25m). It's a pain to roll out a long cable when you are near to the hook-up, hence the short one is favourite. We have needed the 25m quite a few times. So far we haven't needed to join the two together, but at least we have the option.

Likewise for us.
And a 20m hose with various connectors.

I always carry two hose pipes, one about 5m and another about 12m they can be both connected to make one long one and have found this very handy over the years.

Hoses I have a 3m and a 7m and they can be joined they cover 99% of all needs and for emergencies a 20m roll flat only used that once in 10 years. Mains lead I carry a 30m one don't use it much.

I use 2 x expandable hoses ... max 150ft ... Both store in a 1ft x 6" plastic box .... & hardly any weight . I also carry a 20litre carrier with nozzle attached. .. as emergency, & used quite a lot . Good workout too ... Going from tap to van... jogging ???

For the hose I use one of those collapsible type that are about 8' long and when connected up swell to about 30'. Take up very little room when stored.

short hose with a rubber push on connector for use in basins . then fill the watering can or water container.
as for electric lead i fitted ehu 17 yrs ago and have only used it once at home to get the fridge/freezer down as i was rushing off to a ferry next morning . waste of effort and money fitting it .
mind i can say i hardly ever use prison camps to stop on .
usually spend 6 months of the year in the truck . but no campsites for me .

25m EHU for me, 10m usually enough, however, with 25m you can unwind more if you need it, whereas with 10m your stuck.

1x25m EHU cable although only keep it for emergencies as we Wild Camp.
Our water hoses are both lay flat hoses , 1x10m & 1x20m with connectors to join them to 30m if required ( not very often ) , but the most important item is a 1x10ltr watering can which is used very often.

I use a watering can or drive to a water point and use my 5m hose.
I've divided my 25m EHU into one 10m and one 15m length. Never needed longer than 25m. If I did I'd choose another pitch, which is usually no problem when abroad.

Like others have said, about 10m and 15m electric lead. Hose maybe not so critical if you have a watering can or container with a spout on as you can get some exercise walking to and from the tap.
Personally I carry two 10 litre containers and use a plastic 90 degree elbow as a funnel. (The type used for rain water guttering). I do use a short hose if filling up entering a site or aire when water is low.

25m flat water hose, slightly slower when filling up but doesn’t need unwound.

After 2yrs and 25k+ miles and probably 10 mths away and moving every 3-5 days with a lot of wilding to Aires and some sites,.. I have just recently made up two ehu leads, one 20mtr and one 10mtr.... I have two expanding hoses of 40ft and 75ft they take up no room and weight at all.... if it’s sunny I don’t need ehu.

There has only been one time when two 25mtr ehu leads put together was just 6”inches too short as @scousebird witnessed, size matters....;)

I've 10m and a 25m ehu leads.
10m hozelock pico hose reel. ( thinking about getting a 20m layflat in case more length needed :-) )

I also have 2 of these 10L which I find quite handy, they have a spout which work well.

If I've had 2 Shreddies in the morning I can carry 20 litres , one can in each hand and be well balanced. On 3 Shreddies I'll swing them round like propellers

25M EHU cable, 10M + 5M hoses and a (hush your mouth) 40L Aquaroll and a fill pump.

Several short ones of various lengths and three 50m hoses reels, plus an Aquaroll. I don’t do moving to the tap. :)

Well, if this comes as a surprise to you, at least you will know in future:
The distance will depend on how far you are away from such services.
And, whatever that distance, it will be 6" more.

We have 2 hoses, a short one about 2m long and a long one about 8m long, both can be used if necessary but the 2m one is more often than not sufficient for our needs, in addition we have a couple of 5L slim rigid plastic containers which are easily stored and make carrying water back to the camper easier as I can hold one in each hand so am balanced, we also have 20L squishy plastic/vinyl type water carrier but it can be a s*d to try to pour the water out of into the tank ... think of a large jellyfish lump when it's got water in and you'll know what I mean!

As for electric, we did carry 2 leads, one short, one long, but have now ditched the shorter one as we very rarely have EHU as we use aires or wild-camp so if we do need one, we'll just use the long one, I've also ditched some of the attachments too which never got used but are a bit bulky to store, so just have a reverse polarity mini-lead and a continental EHU point connector now.

@suavecarve ... do you still have hose attachment envy? :D2

For fresh water I use one of the stretchy silicone type, think it's 5m but approx doubles in length. It's super small and easy to drain out.

10 litre watering can from B & Q. It’s my exercise for the day keep walking backwards and forwards filling the tank completely. If it’s raining next day I know I have enough without venturing out and getting soaked.

Doesn't work very well when you put your 2 Euro in the Born you walk away with you watering can and someone else drives up and uses the water you have paid for.
