So we are sitting here on a lovely old fashioned and somewhat tight access Spanish camping site, each pitch surrounded by trees enjoying an evening beer.

In comes a German van a huge Neismann and Biscoff motorhome more akin to a bus or gin place on wheels. I say to the good lady, wife, this is going to be entertaining, lets get the pop corn out, that will not fit on these pitches. But the driver is not deterred and heads for the sea view pitches, which I would not have attempted to put our panel van on !!!

All eyes are on our German friend, who swings into the pitch, and in doing so seem blissfully unaware of the overhanging tree branch which is ripping the side of the roof off. Open mouthed we watched them eventually stop, reverse, rip a bit more off, park the van up and get the drinks out without a care in the world.

I reckon at least £5k worth of damage -- if not more, its going to need a new roof. Just think, Im miffed because my sun awning leg has snapped off.

Do some prople have so much money they just dont care?????

I wonder if it is hired, not sure I can go up to the side of the van to photograph the huge gash down the roof, but this is the rear of his van, from ours. I reckon he will hit it again getting it out ........

Pop on some socks and sandals, he’ll think you’re a fellow German. Have you got any leather shorts, as that’ll really fool em. Talk loudly and slap your thighs a lot.

Earlier on this trip we saw a 2015 Carthago motorhome rip most of the rear panel off , she had reversed so far back on the Aire and hadn’t bothered to look what the ground did.
Caught the rear bumper on a grass hump and as she moved forward and the back was hooked.
I went to see if she wanted any duct tape but said she’d done it before and had tape, which was obvious when I looked at the back, loads of old duct tape sticky on the bumper.

You guys have got a great sense of humour, maybe the lederhosen approach is the way forward, will look a little out of pace in Spain though???
Budgie smugglers, flip flops and a towel over the arm🤷‍♂??

Come on get that camera clicking😁😁

Once parked up in holmfirth ,Julie directing me back, come on, come on, van won't move  .
Only into a tree with the roof she was only looking at the ground
Just a dent in the roof though , no great panic.

Might add these were in our excursion into dear motorhomes, felt a bit sad at the time but since we have gone into cheapo ambulance where we don't care, had no such experience.
