I've had this appear twice today when browsing the Fun website. Is it just me or is there a problem? Unfortunately I don't know what actually triggered it :-(

When it pops up the browser tab is locked and all I can do is to close it. Obviously I have not clicked on the 'OK'!!

I would run whatever antivirus you have and if it doesn't find anything download Malwarebytes.

Thanks @DBK - that's a sensible thing to do and I'm just doing it. I would be surprised if I had picked up anything nasty as I'm running McAfee Internet Security/

I have just run a server scan and nothing on our end. It is highly probable you have an infection of some kind.

McAfee (or for that matter any of the others) are not fool proof.

I just had a client infected, it switched his microphone off continuously. He had Mcaffee installed. Downloaded Malwarebytes trial and that found it.

It had been really frustrating skyping with this client as he kept getting cut off. He insisted it couldn't be malware because he had McAffee.

Showed him a link to a forum where loads of people were complaining about this and an infection was found to be the cause. He then installed Malwarebytes and it found 3 infections. Sorted his Mic issue out.

don't take this as a recommendation for Malwarebytes though. It has missed a few that Kaspersky has found on another client system....

Thanks @Gromett - I've just run Malwarebytes and the only thing it found was Winthruster which I must have tried before McAfee. That's quarantined now.

I had it yesterday too and I'd run Malwarebytes, Crap Cleaner etc the day before ... it only came up on here ... I think it might be at advert rather than a virus as it was shortly after I'd paused Adblocker so I could look at a link that someone made to a product on Amazon.

I have it on all the time normally, so just disable it to have a look at Amazon links on here as they don't show up.

I have Adblocker and Adblocker Plus and on reflection I think it's the 'Plus' one that blocks the Amazon ...
