Wayscral electric bikes

Funster was on site with these bikes. They look well made and we are thinking of getting them.
Full size wheels and we would get the 60-80kms batteries!

Any comments please?

We have 2 both a couple of years old now
Distance depends on how much you use the battery power, we only use ours when the going gets tough on hills etc.
We've had a couple of others before these and find the Wayscral a great improvement.
Best thing is to try different ones before you buy

We bought two from norauto when we were last over , I've put quite a bit about them in other threads on here, in a word fantastic, don't know how long they will last but I have now done over fifty miles on mine with the original charge and one more, they seem heavy when you first try them but they ride as well as any bike I've ever had without the the power and when you switch it on they fly.
This is the when we had just bought them.

Forgot to add, we got these half price because they are last years models, £500 for the two, if you can find a norauto that still have some left, grab yourself a bargain

Thought that was a typing error Not the most imaginative name ? I do like the front wheel drive as it would fold more compact but not low step through.

Just looked at their site they are only the price of normal bike so you are not going to get much in the way of quality, most are front hub drive the least efficent type of drive and worst performance on hills. One model appeared to have a crank drive of undisclosed brand.

May be OK if you just want to potter a mile to the shops, if you want to go cycling don't wast your money, spend a few more pennies and get a bike with a Bosch crank drive you will be able go get up the steepest hills and have double the range.

I must admit I haven't done any push biking since I got my motorbike license, 50 odd years ago, but I am totally amazed with these bikes they will go anywhere and as to the strength, they look as if they would hold an elephant.
And with a bit of pedalling I have got 20 miles out of one charge

Must apologise for saying £500 in an earlier post as well, getting my pounds and euros brain in a cafuddle but yes £680 for the two, if you are anywhere near a norauto store, go in and ask if they have any on offer, ours should have been well over a grand and that was including the battery and charger

If you have your own bike that you are fond of you can buy a kit to convert it to electric with motor in the back wheel, about the price of a cheap electric bike.

Sounds like you need to take a couple of spare batteries with you when you go for a ride
A Bosch drive will give you up to a 100 miles, 60-75 in realistic conditions.

Don't think so mate, took me a month to do twenty miles
Two mile a day is more than enough biking for anyone, I've got three things with four wheels if I want to go any further, never could understand why anyone would ride a bike for so called fun

There is a very simple reason why Bosch powered bikes more expensive... Try one and find out!

Will still be going strong in years time when others gathering dust in sheds.....

They are no where near 900 euros

On the French website the mans bike is €550 and the battery 60-80kms is €350 where I went to school that is €900!

It's not so much about cycling ride distance we rarely do more than 30 miles on a ride, it is more the time between re-charging, don't want to be charging them after every ride. I've fitted an inverter just for charging the bikes and if I charge them from a low state of charge it really canes the batteries takes about 100 A/H out of them and even with good sunshine takes several days to fully recharge with 200 watts of solar.
