Unless you know where you 'lost' the cap please check you still have a van and that it is secured by more than conventional means.
There have been tales in the past of stolen water fillers being used to get duplicate van keys before the theft of a van.
I don't know if such tales are in the realm of 'gassing' reports but pass it on anyway, just in case.
