Our water pump pulses when a tap is turned on. Shower seems fine and when I turned on the tap in an attempt to flush the waste tank. The pump pulsed till I turned on another tap and the pulsing immediately stoped. Any thoughts on what is going on.

Possible air leak somewhere, I had the same symptom and it gradually got worse until the switch failed. I replaced the pump, it’s a simple job.

Some systems have a pulse reducing widget - a sort of inline bottle that reduces pump pulsing at the tap. Worth checking as diaphragm inside getting stuck would stop it reducing the pulses.

If its just the one tap causing it have a look at the end of the tap spout for a knurled ring.
If its there unscrew it and give it a scrub with a toothbrush.
It's a kind of filter, like in a kettle spout, and gets clogged with limescale over time restricting the flow and makes the pump switch on and off rapidly.
Turning on a second tap reduces the pressure build up and allows the pump to work normally.

Both taps pulse if used separately. ?

My water pump pulsates when only cold water is being drawn and I don’t like the idea of so much current being switched on-and-off repeatedly. I’m assuming that an accumulator placed on the cold line will overcome that. Has anyone done so with good effect?

Not sure if this is relevant?

"Shurflow pre-pressurized accumulator tanks reduce cycling pulsation and pressure spikes, increase the life of your pump and even save battery power. "

One of these:

Really easy to fit, if you have access and space.

If you already have one, check the pressure in it. There is a shrader (spelling?) valve on the top.
