I have a 2003 Autotrail Chieftain. In the rear O/S corner, behind the cupboards, there is a threaded rod which looks to be coming from the area of spoiler leg, which is attached to the roof. The rod is hollow and carries wires, which I take to be powering the high level brake light fitted in the spoiler.
Water is dripping from this rod and forming a small puddle below.
Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so, what is the remedy?

Please take this situation seriously. Water, once inside the outer skin of your van can travel great distances and do a lot of damage. Stop the ingress from the outside as a matter of some urgency please. Good luck.

High level lights leaking are fairly common, on a previous van I removed the light and resealed it, never leaked again.
Good luck but sort it quickly.

Yep the high level brake light was leaking on my hymer ...couldnt get a replacement back for it so i removed the light altogether and fibreglassed it over ...no chance of a leak now

I am in the position of replacing the high level brake light which I have disconnected while I get it replaced. Found the one I need for my 2009 EurtaMobil sold as fitting a Knaus by Eurowagens.com but exactly the same as the failed one. Could not trace the connector so have had to cut the wire at a point where I can solder it easily

its going to be the brake light or the sealant between the spoiler and the body are there any obvious fixings for the spoiler or is it just glued on?

Might be better crimped than soldered as this can fracture with vibration from the vehicle.
