"Hello Darling, you know that you told me to use the Sat Nav....well I was doing, and I think I've broken the Motorhome"

Just coming back from Italy and France and at least five times the Garmin motorhome nav( with van dimensions) guided us down roads with bridges too low for van. Luckily I spotted them all, but led to some incredibly stressful and embarrassing reversing manouvers. I’ve now inflated t height setting in the nav!

What a shame really feel for the drivers/owners of that Motorhome.

There’s so much to think about, have you remembered everything, are the skylights all closed, did you bring your extra medication, daughters rang she wants money again, are we in the right lane if we miss this turn off we are miles off course, we will miss the wedding at this rate, illness, pain, bad diagnosis, stress etc etc.

Poor devils they will be in trauma.

If I wasn't a psychotic, I'd feel really sorry for them...............

They are from Germany. They have, if this is Rouen, travelled many miles and quite likely for two days, depending on where in Germany. Yes as you leave home you might think of those things, but not that far in. And if it is worrying enough to do this? I have to question if he is safe in any vehicle.

Should have let the tyres down and it would have got through!

I have hit the chains on the entrance to a Rouen underpass . Very scary. First are the chains going to smash the skylights then when anchoring up is somebody going to smash into the rear of you.
And then to top it off you have to reverse into a live lane.
Phew wont do that again i hope😳

No, but it doesn't stop you from looking at what's ahead of you :)
And you should know the height of the Moho and add a 200 mm for safety.
no sympathy for the owner at all .

Unless someone was trying to steal it and did not get as far as they thought.

Feel very sorry for them. We have the all the dimensions of the bus clearly marked on the dash bored and run two lorry sat navigation systems.Very important when 4 meters high and 10 meters long.

So you only have sympathy if it's stolen?!🤣🤣🤣

Humans make genuine mistakes for all sorts of reasons

I get the impression if someone broke into our house, hung the wife, a few on here would be saying “ it serves you right for leaving a rope lying around”

When we had a power cut storm Arwen and were without power for over 8 days a few were suggesting it serves us right for living remote in Teesdale.

Your a ray of sunshine aren't you.... never made a mistake then !!! o_O

Having seen this I don't feel so bad about reversing into a balcony in France now. Repair cost £4k

looks like the dreaded tunnels of Rouen....:eek:
YES!. I came so close to doing exactly that in Rouen myself. I had to reverse some 100 metres to get out of the tunnel, whilst my travelling companion directed the traffic round me. The French themselves just raised their eyebrows as if to say "Oh, yet another one".

We drove through Rouen a couple of weeks ago for the first time.....in a car. We made a VERY BIG mental note never to go through Rouen in the MoHo!!!
