The dustman on his rounds told us to wash our hands. As he pointed out, he may handle up to a thousand (?) bins a day and if only one person in a thousand had the disease, that would be enough to justify washing our hands after collecting our bin.

And they leave ours if it’s not bagged.In our area if you leave rubbish inside the bin wrapped in plastic bag, they refuse to take the bin. A council worker came some time ago, saw we had trash inside a plastic bag, he told the dustman to leave it ( teaching us a lesson?).
