Warped/melted combi 4e vent flap (1 Viewer)

The vent connected a foot away from my boiler had the flap warped / melted . Anything in the fitting that says this could cause this maybe air too hot . I would be surprised . Noticed that vent has no silver inner lining that the gutter away ones have but maybe doesn’t need that since air hit enough . Anyone have this problem or any ideas

I'm afraid so: from the installation manual (US version online, page 16):-

For each warm air duct, the minimum length in front of the first outlet is 3.3 ft (1 m).
