Hi Gail and everyone attending.

Sadly we will not be with you tonight as we are having trouble with the lights on the MH (Will put details on another thread in the hope someone can solve it). Hopefully we will be there in the morning by travelling in daylight.

1 year on and loving it!
Many thanks Gail and Tony - I so enjoyed my weekend. It was great to meet new friends and see a couple that I had come across previously!

Home safe and sound, though the inside of my motorhome is nearly as muddy as the outside! Nothing that a good wash won't sort out mind.

Once again many thanks to everyone for their companionship - it was a great weekend!

Just back from the meet. Loads of miserable old farts sitting around in their motorhomes. Moaning about the cold and the mud and unwilling to join in.
Now it could have been like that, but this is MOTORHOME[HI] FUN[/HI].

Lots of greasy grass so parked on road, we were blessed with sun and light winds. Everyone joined in and a great time was had by all. The food was good (Hog roast, the accompaniments and the superb sweet all for £4) Blimey Gail you know how to drive a bargain.
The dog got walked on the beach and collected tons of strokes. I won the MHF flag in the raffle and a thoroughly good weekend was had by all.
Lots of new friends were made and I believe everyone owes Gail, Tony and lads a heartfelt thanks for the BBQ and organising a superb weekend for us.:thumb:

Thanks a lot

Hi Gail and Tony. Thanks for a great weekend. Sorry we had to work on Saturday night so only got to spend one evening and half a day with you guys, but it was a brillliant weekend.

As a newbie it was so cool to get up in the morning and everyone just comes up to you and chats and socialises and we all had a cup of tea and a good chat. Friday night was a laugh to and I can't wait for the next one.

Officially hooked. Have decided that all funsters aren't strangers, their just friends we haven't met yet. ::bigsmile:

See you soon.

Brian and Cherie.

Sorry Cathy and Nick - it should have read Teknical was leaving early (told you I was no good with names :Eeek::Eeek:

A big thanks to Larby and Meanders for helping sort the electric problem. We now know how to reset the computer xxxxxxx

Just home from the meet. Tonys back has finally caved in so he will be in bed for the next few days. Sink area all washed down and everything loaded into the van and all pitches checked to make sure no one had forgotten anything. Sunday dinner was well worth staying for excellent value for money and large portions.

Thanks to everyone who turned up and joined in, with a big thanks to those funsters who have not had the best of health recently who made such an effort. Well done scally for joining us on Saturday it was lovely to see you. The weather was the kindest we have ever had at this November meet and made a pleasant change.

Daniel won the Wii competition, Tony won the pool competition and it was great to see funsters enjoying themselves.

Between us all we did 28 bottles of mulled wine, 40 mince pies, 120 rolls and lots of drink and food and 12 bags of charcoal.

Thanks to everyone who donated mulled wine, charcoal and raffle prizes. Thanks to everyone who brought over food to share. The two homemade cakes including Mitzimads birthday cake were particularly delicious. A big thanks to those that helped clear up after each event.

Larby won the funster flag, Philcott won the funster mug, Mitzimad won the signed first edition book kindly donated by Superk. George and Ginger we have your raffle prize here xxxxx I think everyone who bought raffle tickets won at least one prize. There was at least one funster winner on the bingo each evening too.

We hope those of you who celebrated birthdays with us had a birthday to remember.

Hopefully the hardstanding area will be completed for next year and we have the offer of a marquee that the site will erect for us for free that we can bbq under that next year.

For those of you who didnt attend, the site layout has changed and we couldnt park on the car park this year which meant trapsing everything quite a way and the ground being so muddy using the mobility scooter was not an option.

NOTE: I have acquired a pink dinner plate with writing around the outside a fork and a knife which belong to funsters somewhere. Please let me know if they are yours.

Thanks to all of you for making this event so enjoyable. The next meet we will organise will be my 50th in May.

Thanks for all your kind comments and for letting us know you are home safely.

We will upload the photos sometime during the week into the Rally photos once Jim adds a meet link

Many thanks to Gail and Tony for organising and running this meet under difficult circumstances.

The weekend started badly for us with the dipped beam lighting problem as mentioned in the other thread, but we able to travel down Saturday morning in daylight and obviously had to return early today so we could be sure we got home without needing dipped beam.

It was great that Robert, Daniel and Brennan (our grandson) got on so well. He and Zena (our daughter) thoroughly enjoyed themselves and can't wait for the next Fun meet that they can tag along with we 'oldies'! ::bigsmile:

We know Gail and Tony knocked themselves up a bit, but are very grateful that they bother. :thumb:
