Does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to visit Milan

We are trying to find a campsite out of town but near a train/metro station

Any recommendations?

Remember Italian trains are very good so Lake Maggiore or Peschiera gel Garda are possibles.

Or ACSI...

Vim, may not be what you're after but we regularly use a site in Lugano in Switzerland and train in from there. Good fast journey and no hassle.

There is a free Sosta at Saronno, just north of Milan, only 150 m from Saronno Sud station with frequent trains to Milan.
