When I down load and look at the history for my Victron solar controller it nearly always shows time in absorption as only 1 minute, now and then some days have a couple of hours in absorption, is this normal?

Hi..I'm going to guess (y)
You are running a lithium battery charging profile.. your batteries are pretty well full and the charger is just going straight to float..but maybe on the odd occasion you have a small load on and it's going to drop on to absorption..

If you’re charging lithium batteries they don’t have an absorption phase as such, that’s why they’re so good when linked to solar panels.
If you’re not charging lithium batteries then you need to take a look at your charging profile
