Does anybody know a vet were I can get my dog the required worm tablets etc on our return journey in Dieppe area ! Thanks

La Mailleraye-sur-Seine - aire & vets in village - costs in March were 15.50 euros with your own wormer. Have used this practice many times (as have other Funsters)

We take our own worming tablets with us! We (the dogs!) use Drontal bought on line. All of the nine vets we've seen have been quite happy. Charges vary hugely - we have paid over €80 for the two dogs - ouch! We now google to find vets in the area we will be in in a couple of days and ask the price before booking. Loads of vets around so now a bit more savvy. The vet at Maileraye barely looked at the dogs and I'm convinced the stethoscope didn't actually touch them!! If a dog walks in, it's "fit to travel"! Fine with us - its just a formality. The cheaper the better!

The vets at Neufchatel en Bray take appointments in English on their website, and are always efficient. Cost €40 last week for ours.

Check your passport carefully, in Spain in December we were refused access to the ferry at Bilbao as the vet had entered the wrong year, we had to find another vet who filled it in correctly and pretended to give another dose, luckily we managed to get on the ferry last in the queue!
