This is a recommendation for staying a couple of nights in Verona where there is lots to see, and it has a nice atmosphere.
The very good camper stop is located within a 10/15 minute level walk into the centre. The stop is called Area Comunale Porta Palio. It’s on Campercontact App. 37 places, 10 Euros 24 hrs. with all facilities available except electric.
Drive up to the barrier, press for a ticket and the barrier lifts. Insert ticket on exit to pay.
Adjacent is very modern hostel that offers excellent shower and toilet facilities for 3 Euros.
A real bargain city break without slumming it. Recommended.

We’ve stayed there twice, On the way to Venice, as you say it’s great for seeing the city and if you catch it right it’s wonderful for the opera in the Roman amphitheater, pricey but atmospheric.
