Hi , first of all if this has been discussed already, I apologize , but, if you buy a New Motorhome from September 1st 2019 , ( which was in October's CC&C Mag.) Example stating a motorhome with more than 255/kmCO2 emissions is now required to pay £2135 in year one, and, £465 in years two to six
Please will all Members sign the Petition online which requires 100,000 signatures for Parliament to discuss this Petition, and spread the word at Meets .
This does not apply to me as we have no wish to change our Motorhome, but , if the Government has taken this as a start who knows will they say next year we will collar 2year old vehicles then 3, 4, 5, 6, year old vehicles and so on .

Think you will find it does not bother most people.

You war going to need around 1 in 2 motorhome owners to sign it.

Surely the OPs idea is to encourage those that haven’t done so yet to sign up and it’s still got until the 6/02/2020 to get there we all need to be positive and hope it does.???
 
Even if you reach the required signatures according to .gov information the odds of getting it debated in parliament is approx 400 - 1 against.
 
The other problem is that not all may think that just because its a motorcaravan why it should be treated different to any other car ?

Tony50 looks like you’re going to be plagued by the doom mongers among us? It’s not like your asking for £100 from anyone is it all they need to do is sign the petition? Not much to ask? I suppose they all have enough dosh to not bother???
Let’s hope it surprises them all? By getting there?
 
If we don't try, a 100000 votes is not a lot wifes , husbands , other Adults, can all vote, It's like what's going on in the country right now and has been like it for years, most of us don't protest we like the quiet life so the minority wins, please use your vote for this Petition

The response is missing the point..
No one will object to the C02 rating.
What is objectionable is the hike caused by the purchase price ( at least, that is my take on it )

I am not a betting person but even I can recognise a definite loser and if it did defy the 400-1 against odds and got debated then that doesn't mean it will be acted upon. Just sometimes, things seem pointless - like this petition

Because why on earth would the goverment listen to a load of motorhomers.
That's why we don't have aires etc either.

If you want them to reverse the decision then folk have to just not buy new motorhomes. Then the manufacturers and dealers will get them to maybe rethink it.

That's ok lol if you want to believe the goverment has any interest in a petition from motorhomers complaining that their new luxury vehicle is being taxed you go ahead.

The owners of 4x4 and large engined cars have the same issue and there even more of them

That's the goverment folk voted in.

And while there's pressure on goverment to cut emmisions etc they will continue doing this , they will listen to the group that has public backing first which I doubt will be the motorhomers buying new vans

No vehicle should be included & the scum should get the tax back down to a flat rate of 150 for all.
You've no chance of road tax ever being removed & added to fuel cost whilst mugs are prepared to pay extortionate money to half wits purporting to act on behalf of the electorate when they couldn't give a**** about them whilst arguing amongst themselves.
We really need a petition calling for them to be put to death. That'd be over a million withing hours.
