You should only use max of one question mark if any at all.

Rule number 1 of the forum @pelican..... unless it was just taking the mick, in which case perhaps adding a smiley might help :-)

I also used dishwasher capsules to clean out my cassette, left it overnight in the upright position and the lime scale was gone.

Where can it be bought ?,@#*()’l :)

Would this be a suitable alternative? Assuming Mrs YMFB can’t get it at one of the MHF approved German supermarkets

OOOOOOOPPPPSSSS ..
Sorry Jim, you beat me to it :-)

You are missing @pelican ’s point see post number 2

Having now been told what the following refers to I see your point :-)

You should address your comment to Tjay

Never one to admit total defeat though, I still reckon a smiley on the end of the first post would have saved my red face ( that I have now !! LOL ! )

Interesting. Works well on washing machines but you need to run it at 60°C for them. However, it looks well worth a try as nobody is going to wash clothes in gray waste so requirements are lower (y)

I find using proprietary cleaning products generally work out no more expensive than 'home brew' ideas .. and give better results..

For cassette, I use Thetford Cassette Tank Cleaner.. less than a tenner for a 1lt bottle, I use once or twice a season.

Leaves it as "Clean as a puffer fish "

But would it be as clean as a squid?

Do you love them too?????????????

Oh and as for cleaning my toilet and drains
I pop two or three pedants down the drain and they seem to Hoover it up :D:D:D:D

The big question is whether chemicals compatible with a washing machine are compatible with the components in our cassettes and grey waste. The sliding rubber seals for instance.

I don't know.
