Looks like it’s had at least one previous poor repair, gives you the chance to do it properly this time.

Ouch!

Been there, done similar.

First time out with brand new motorhome, filled up with fuel at filling station, caught side skirt on high kerb on way out. Expensive sounding crunch.

Temporary repair with gaffer tape to inside of skirt then fixed with glass fibre matting/resin behind skirt and car body filler to outside, plus repaint.

I’m the world’s worst body repairer but it came out fine.

Good luck with your repair. (y)

I confess to having side-swiped the rear upper corner of our overhang on an outhouse gutter, when exiting our slightly tight yard entrance.

It only damaged the GRP 'fairing' not the aluminium sandwich body, so I got my friend who has been professionally into boat repairs for yonks to repair it.

I now know the point at which to start the turn, without relying on my judgement of clearance distance in wing mirrors.
