I want to replace my 80amp leisure battery with an 110amp battery,my current battery is connected to a solar panel to keep it charged and this is working well,my query is when replacing my leisure battery are there any precautions I should take when disconnecting and reconnecting the new battery with regard to the solar panel and its regulator
Thanks for any advice given

Not Long Enough...!!
Disconnect solar panel from regulator then disconnect battery.

Connect battery to regulator first (it then knows voltage) then connect the solar panel.

Hope this helps

Since 2005
dont forget to turn off the charger first or unplug hookup lead.

dont let the battery positive wire touch to earth while the battery is out as it will still be powered via the solar panel.
