Upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1 today

I looked at upgrading my main laptop several months ago but received warnings about the need to re-install several programs so left it because I didn't have time.

Today I decided that a wet Friday in November was ideal. It takes several hours but the end result seems OK. Only a couple of programs and drivers needed updating and all the stuff I use regularly works fine.

I'll see how it goes and then update the Vivobook I use in the van if it is OK.

My main laptop has suffered no ill effects from the upgrade so I updated the Vivobook today - multi-tasking whilst we made pork pies Seems OK.

Having had a few months experience of 8.1 on my desktop have found it fine, perhaps a bit better than 8. Still prefer to keep W7 on the laptop though.

Oh no, carrots in real pasties only.

Had one of the pies for tea - very nice with mushy peas (got to have summat moist tha knows ).

Nowt wrong with 8. I prefer it to 7
