My older relations are almost all dead.get one of your older relations on the job
Mine was sold as 3400kg, then someone up plated to 3700kg, we downplated it to 3500kg. Weighbridge showed weight with full fuel, no personal effects, driver or water was 3000kg. So under 3050kg unladen so can drive at 70mph.How practical is it to down plate to 3500 kg?
Probably pretty easy if plated around 3700 kg but how about 4000 kg or more.
If you can increase from 3500 presumably you can go the other way assuming that the unladen weight is below 3500 and still leaves some payload.
Anyone done this?
Believe it or not, some motorhomes are better off being over 3.5t for most of the LEZ zones. Ours being one of them.Could be a more common process if you live in one of the new LEZs
I bought it was 3400. Was going to up plate to 3700. But found out loaded was 3400 so up plating now to just 3500.Mine was sold as 3400kg, then someone up plated to 3700kg, we downplated it to 3500kg. Legally yes, but I reckon there's more chance of growing a third arm than getting stopped.Of course it has to be legal to drive to the weighbridge.
So needs someone with a big vehicle licence.
