Our next daft question! :D:D Well we've just spent the last few weeks filling our van and now it needs to go back for it's 30 day check up?!? Do you need to unpack everything when Motorhome's go for servicing? There's nothing of significant value but we wondered about access. Thanks again

Ring the firm and ask what kind of access they need.

If it's just checking everything is operating correctly after 30 days and isn't full access to all floor and wall spaces for damp checks, it seems a bit pointless removing everything.

I always emptied mine fully for annual habitation and damp checks.

Take back to the dealer who looks at any things that have came up since we've had it. I think they're just expecting us to tell them how it's going and any snags. But empty it for service then! Thank you Hopefully not damp yet...

Hopefully not damp ever!
We only empty it for the annual service and hab check; we use the opportunity to find all those bits we've "lost" and also to throw out anything we haven't used over the year.

On our last hab check ( done in June) we had notes on the certificate saying the water wasn't drained down ( it never is) and fresh water tank was full ( it always is). It was also full of clothes and food. They had to work round it.
Obviously, if there is anywhere specific they need to access we would leave it clear for them, but we use the van all the time so emptying out isn't an option.

Unless it's a Carthago.
Everything gets a bill with a Carthago. :(

Richard.
