bill said yes because they will give your under seal a good probing with his screwdriver we once bought a car which someone had under sealed over kitchen foil m MOT familiar

This is all just surface type rust a van 17 years old no bad rust but overtime it will get worse.

apart from a good poke and scrape then it is not an mot failure then.

or is there something else I can get to seal and protect then.

read all about waxoil would that be another solution .

If you do not fully remove the rust or chemically neutralise the rust before covering it with underseal, the rusting is very likely to continue under the underseal out of sight.
As a classic car restorer, I came across many a car with chassis rotted away inside an outer shell of underseal.
