Just before we set off for France we changed our GB number plate sticker to UK (another Br*it diamond:mad:).
The funny part is that within the past week we've been asked three times so far by fellow French motorhomers if we are from the UKraine!!!
As my French is pretty poor to absolute useless it's been quite hard to describe why the changes and so-forth.
What worries me is if any Russians make the same mistake as they have a tendency to shoot first and ask questions after !

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland hence U.K.

I think I’ll say I’m from Wales. :ROFLMAO: Hang a leek from my rear, and keep a sheep on board.

I don't understand why people are changing. Can anyone see our police stopping foreign vehicles to make sure they have the correct acronym on the back? I can't and the gendarmes are even less likely to.

I'm going to go to Angles Morts in France, must be popular there, seen a few holiday vans with a sticker from there
Saw the first one on a truck in Yorkshire today - wonder what the locals made of it?

Nah - you miss so many hameaus when you do, where's the fun in that !

Is that somewhere near Toutes Directions ? I keep seeing signs for that place but never seem to get there!

I drove in Europe for the first time in 1966, riding my Triumph Speedtwin to Osnabruck in northern Germany. I wondered for a long time how many more places called 'Umleitung' there could be!

I'm thinking of putting the GB and the UK sticker on. My wife worries we will get arrested if we do.

I assume there's no law 'against' a GB sticker?

Just check the .gov website - it's perfectly clear :ROFLMAO::doh::doh:

"Driving outside the UK

You may need a GB sticker or a UK sticker to drive outside the UK. Which sticker you need depends on when and where you’re driving."

Can we put French related threads all in one “French” forum as opposed to ”chat”

Means i can simply ignore one forum as opposed to individual French threads/topics in the “wrong”section👍

Is that Scottish?
Aye, right ...

[Very] roughly translated, it's a translation into French of a Radio comedy line, possibly from 'I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again' c 1967

'That goes without saying'

'What was that?'

'I don't know, it went without saying'
