MH newbie but we owned a caravan previously.
Heading to Spain this April and I am deliberating about tyres. Ours are OK at the moment and will be come departure date. Depending how much touring we actually do (or are allowed to do) they could be getting a bit low on tread by the time we return. So are all the usual brands available and are the prices similar to UK if we decide they need changing. Talking 225/75 R16 121. Thanks for any info.

I bought a couple of Motorhome specific Michelins in Southern Spain last time I was there, prices were ok and tyres were in stock.

How old are your current tyres?
If they are over 5 or 6 years old I would change them before you go.

I have just got some of the same size as yours in the uk and have been amazed at the lack of choice ,everything seems to be on back order . I could not get the ones I wanted and had the choice of getting a brand i didn’t really know or pay way over the odds for the tyres I did know but on saying that change them before you go , you don’t want to be worrying all the way to spain about them . I don’t know very much about the supply situation in spain but I do know a friend had to wait 2 weeks to get 2 tyres for his Mercedes .

I wouldn't risk buying tyres in Spain assuming they are going to wear down whilst you are away ,they must be pretty close to worn now if that's the thinking. Best to change before you go and then you know you are good to go ,and back again. (y)

I was contemplating buying tyres before we went and from your comments that's what I'll probably do. It's in for a service end of March so I'll get it all done ready for the road! Thanks folks.

I changed two of my tyres in Spain a few years ago, no problem with getting same brands.

Blimey! Are they all in stock?

Don’t worry H the tyres you bought seem fine to me, quiet, good rain dispersal and quite grippy. Then again I was in the cold and wet in Germany😉👍👍
