Does anyone know what the small light is on the left hand side? It seems be an addition, I can’t work out what it is or how to turn it off. I am a bit stuck so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Second question is about gas fittings. I noticed the connection to thE gas bottle in the van is not push on type I am used to, it seems to be a fix g you need a spanner to undo. Does anyone know if it possible to change the fitting for a more standard one or is this a safety thing? It is a Hymer 404.

Thanks

hi welcome the gas fitting you have is likely red and a left hand thread which is standard propane. you could change it but do you really need to.

the red light is anyones guess... does the microphone in the centre have anything to do with it.

I have a light like yours which is illuminated when the step is out. The gas connections depend on the gas bottle you have..can you add photos of that?

It’s the seat belt light. Normally just the drivers.

Is that a microphone or an ultrasound thingy for an aftermarket alarm ?

Gas bottle. You can change the hose for one with a hand wheel rather than a nut, the thread is L/H, but that's the extent of your options.
It sounds like you're used to the blue Butane bottles with the push down and turn knob bottle top regulators.
Red bottle Propane which you have is much better gas in cold weather.

The thing in the middle is a microphone, I think, definitely not alarm related.

The step goes in and out fine from a button inside the door. Do you think it could be a fuse or something?
