Our Bedroom Tv screen went very dark from mine side recently.
Just tested it on 230v adaptor and it seems to be working fine.
tested on 12v and the screen is dark.

The mains adaptor is 12v 3.0a.
The 12v socket is marked as 120w rated.
Both adaptors plug into the same power socket on the TV.
TV is a Visionplus.

I guess we aren’t getting enough power via the 12v socket, any suggestions on resolving this please.

Maybe too higher voltage if your batteries are on charge the 12v could be between 13.6v to 14.7v. Best to run via a 12v stabiliser.

I'd measure the voltage at the tv when on both supplies, maybe the "12v" is dropping 🤔

Yes the charger was on and the voltage at 13.6v.
I turned the charger off and waited until the voltage dropped to 12.9v and then tried again with the same result.

What stabiliser would you suggest?

I can measure the plug voltage as 12.1v but that is no load.
Any suggestions for measuring the voltage when its plugged in without taking the tv apart?

Might have found a solution.

Changed the 12v lead from the other tv and it seems to be working.

Put the original lead into the other tv and the screen is flickering.
Turned the Batt Charger back on and it seems OK.

Looks like I have a duff lead/plug.

Maybe try something else in the bedroom😜

I bought a spiral 12v lead to tidy up the wiring a bit but could not get any sound on my cello, put old lead back and all good again
