Hi, can anyone help i bought this van in December and never had the fire lit off gas , now ive read the instuctions from the manial how to light and followed to the latterseveral times without success, so after watching a few tricks online i took the front panel off and i see the Piezo igniter thing isnt conected to anything just earthed to the fire front, surely that cant be right??. When i press and turn the control knob it is clicking fine is that not the spark?? whats the point of the Piezo?.. All i know is ive been pressing away on that thing for hours and its not even conected to anything Grrr

You say you can hear it ticking when you try to light it. Have you checked that the gas isolating tap is turned on? It will probably be in a cupboard or locker.
Sorry I have re read you're post and note the loose wire.
It should connect to a small blade sticking out of the burner box.

Hi, yes its at side under the seat like the one under the cooker and thats fine i got flame there

Are you sure it's the ignitor you're looking at and not the flame failure device.
The ignitor should be to one side of the burner pilot light and the flame failure should sit IN the pilot flame.
