My Truma Combi 4E has stopped working. I turn the control dials and no lights come and nothing happens.
The manual gives two suggestions
1. Check the fuse on the circuit board, a small section of the board can easily be exposed todo this. The fuse is fine.
2. Remove the 12V power for 5 seconds to reset the unit. This doesn't change anything.
On Bailey Motorhomes the heating can be use while the MH is in motion so the 12V supply to unit is connected 24/7. The unit has therefore been powered permanently for the last 9 years. I can think of only two times it has been disconnected in that time, the last about 3 years ago.
Checked the voltage at the fuse in the circuit board and its 12V.
So now my question; Does any know how to access the full circuit board to remove it for repair/replacement.
Any other ideals on where/who/how to get diagnostic or repairs done.

Teach me to read the whole post first before typing lol.

Under the cover on the boiler, there should be an led which flashes a fault code, assuming you have some 12v power to the unit.
This is a link to the meaning of the fault code, you have to watch the led for a while and have pencil and paper ready. s = short flash, l = long flash

If my memory serves me correctly I seem to remember there are two fuses on the circuit board the coloured glass type?🤔
correction one on circuit board and another on the boiler I will investigate to find out where🤔

Here’s some info I found

Riverbankannie there is no reference to an led in the manual , remember my unit is 9 years old, which cover are you referring to. Instructions to dismantle the unit would be most helpful. The manual mentions the "connection cover" which is what I removed to get to the 12V fuse. There is also a 240V over temperature reset switch there but no sign of a led.

Speve That's the same picture as my manual. The 12V fuse is fine, haven't checked the 240V one as I have no EHU and the problem appears to be a control one as there are no lights on the control units.

See above post #6👍😊 the flash code is above where the fuse is shown on the top picture😊

You beat me to posting however if you have a flash code as you look down on the circuit board you can easily see it ( I would suggest if not visible) as you say no power there🤔im not trying to tell you how to suck eggs but have you checked the wiring in the control unit? That should just unscrew and pull out of housing? Could be a loose wire or a broken wire?😊

I’m just wondering if the 230v fuse is shot would it stop the 12v function as well? Even though you don’t have EHU.🤔

I had that cover most of this morning no sign of a flashing led. The unit is under the rear seat so a pain to get at. I needed a torch to inspect the fuse properly so I'd have spotted anything flashing.
I'll wait 'til I'm home before trying to dismantle the beast, I'll be able to clear out all the furnishings there. I was hoping for diagrams on how to do it.

They are a right bugger to get at aren’t they there’s never enough room around them? When the fan conked out on our Exsis I had to lift out the complete boiler to get at it🙄
good luck with it hope you can sort it yourself as Truma agents charge a fortune😥

GeoffnDee that's brilliant just what I wanted. Fun goes up trumps again.
I hope i won't have to take the unit out but just in case I now have all the information I need.
Thanks again to everybody on this thread for their help.

Did you check the fuse with a multimeter? Just looking at it is not testing it, they can sometimes look good but have broken at one end
Yes a multimeter was used and after I replaced the fuse the reading at both sides was 12V.
