All you need to know:Hi I have a Burstner van. This morning I am trying to fill the boiler but the blue valve next to the water tank won't stay shut. It's only 3 deg. Is this why and can this be over ridden?
Good to hear it agrees with the FrostControl Manual linkMy Truma 4e manual suggests over 7° for a reset.

Only a van equipment supplier could think of that!!If this happens often, Truma sell a Frost Control valve heater. It fits in the valve body and can be used to warm the the valve so you can shut it and fill with water.

That is the old type very difficult to wedge the button in on the new type also the old ones were supposed to dump at 4° but would often dump at 6 or more. The new ones dump at 3° and appear to be a bit more reliable temperature wise.I have a hair band wrapped around that red button to stop it popping and dropping the water.
