Think we emptied properly but tbh we were shown nothing when we bought van from main dealer in Devon in the summer. Have turned slider parallel and pushed reset and bled all air out of taps. Have cleared error on control unit and have on faster heat up but after a short time Have no warm water. In pic what does cord do have pulled and hooked back up and as said turned blue slider 90 deg.

That's German stuff for you Lenny. :xrofl: :xrofl:

Looks to operate like a bathroom pull light switch?
In all the German vans we have had the tanks & cassette housing are heated by the blow air system all the time the heating is on. I assume the cord is operating a diverter valve don't really see the point of it.

I don't know what the cord does but in your photo the dump valve is open, it is closed when the blue button at the bottom is pushed in flush with the body.
Thanks have done that no hot water and on gas truma system cuts out. 🥶 haven't used any heating as not on hook up and going away later 😢

I think the blue switch on the top of the dump valve should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise and so end up parallel to the pipes, otherwise no water will get through (and the blue button should be pushed in as Lenny mentioned).

You have the latest dump valve so I assume you have a C4 or C6 (your profile says 70's camper, a bit misleading).
You can run the heating without water in the boiler so it looks like you have another problem.
What error codes are you getting?

Ha ha sorry we still have the old van. Said error code 6e boiler but have reset and took off gas. So on leccy now but will take a while to warm up.

Thanks pic was as we left it during cold spell and now it is parallel and but in as you both mentioned. Have tried it again and water drains out the bottom then reset as you say. Confused 😕 and not sure why is cut out on gas.

You trying to confuse me, modern dump valve error codes displayed, no way is that a 70's camper, got to be at least 2014.

I saw your other thread, the red indicator in your pic shows the gas bottle the changeover valve is set to is either empty or turned off.
